For those who are losing hope...

Posted in Group:

Seriously, what I was told a million times at weight watchers was to never give up. DON'T EVER QUIT! Why, you may ask? It will only get worse. I thought that maintaining the same weight for a few weeks was miserable, heart wrenching because of the effort I had put those weeks to lose weight. The only thing I can say to that is to not be discouraged. You're at a standstill, a LONG one...who cares? You can either choose to keep fighting for what you want, or give up and get just the opposite... more weight gain than you ever imagined!
I chose to give up, I chose to not care, I chose to let my eating habits get out of control once again. My choice was a terrible one, but I'm glad that I am finally working once again at my goal that I've had since I could remember! If you're down and out about not losing- stop it! Get motivation from me or someone else who knows how you feel and can lift your spirits once again.

After spending most of my life dieting I got tired of it, let it go and now I am at least 30 pounds over weight once again. I spent over 10 years in Overeaters Anonymous and other 12 step programs. I am 62 years old and know I cannot do this without support. I can see that it really does not matter which diet plan I use, I just need to cut calories and get more exercise. My problem is consistency. I am hoping this will help me. I definately need some help!!
