keeping it as simple as possible, most diets that are any good encourage lots of water, fruits and veggies, especially raw and anything that is a bright color or really dark green... also lean meat like chicken and fish... baked... not fried... and reduce the amount of anything white you eat... sugar, salt, potatos, rice... when you eat any kind of grain... which you should of course but I think most of us eat too much of it... and the worng kind... go for whole grains and brown grains... avoid that great mooshy white soft bread... I also think we eat to much meat... try buying black beans and in recipes that incolve meat, try replacing half of the meat with black beans... I did that when I was broke and foudn myself feeling much healthier and dropped some weight whent that wasn't even what I was trying to do.

I was about to do something awesome again, but I told myself, "Enough is enough! That's plenty of awesome for one day."

"They say that marriage is about making two lives into one... nobody told me that meant we both would end up becoming HIM"

So over the passed 2 years I have gone through some family and life issues. I have noticed I have gained about 45 pounds and have never been this big in my life I am naturally athletic and when I lived in California worked out and ate impeccably, I am sure a lot of it has to do with my circumstances not having a stable environment and structure. I use to have everything together in my life and now I have not much together. I have pushed pretty much everything and everyone I love away due to this weight gain, they don't really know why and I have never been one to let people know I feel upset with myself, so they are confused as to why I am depressed and my paranoia that everyone is starring at my weight gain is damaging. I just need a motivational pep talk or hope in this journey I am about to start. Looking at all the clothes I use to fit in a wear proudly is my main goal. I am not a fan of numbers and weighing myself. I just want to fit back into my old cute clothes and feel happy, healthy and motivated. Not only that but this weight gain has brought upon me social anxiety and not wanting to go out into the world. I feel disappointed in myself and have never been this insecure in my life. I just want myself back!! Not only that but seeing people I haven't seen in a long time is the most painful, I have never been the type to let myself go, but unfortunately, I have and I just need to re-gain that will power BACK! Please any one who has the urge to respond to this post with any feed back I would be sooo GRATEFUL!!

Ok so my weight lose is not going so well. I exercise but my eating habit is trouble. Every time I eat something bad I feel guilty. I like some vegetables and fruit when I can afford them. I get cravings for sweets and soda and can't control it. I HATE the way I look my flabby stomach my wide hips however I love my butt:). Can I get some feed back on what I should do.

I am working at losing weight also and the best like I have had is reducing the white carbohydrates I eat to zero. I eat all the veggies and lean meat I want (stir-frys and taco salad mainly) and have one cheat day a week so that that I don't go crazy or plateau. I lost 30lbs last year by doing this but gained it all back because I slipped back into old habits, now I am at it again and 12 lbs lost. I got this diet from The 4-Hour Body by Timothy Ferris. I don't see it as a diet but rather a better nutrition guide for someone who can't handle the sugar and starch from white and processed foods. I hope this helps you. Good luck with your weight loss.

Changing your eating habits is a change in lifestyle! And old eating habits are very hard to break. You will have to constantly give yourself a pep talk every time you want to go for something sweet. That's what I have to do on a daily basis. I say to myself, "Is what you're wanting to eat REALLY worth it? You've worked so hard at getting some weight off. You really want to mess that up?" And at times, I would cave, and I would feel HORRIBLE afterward...I would literally feel sick.

It's a completely different mindset that you have to get into...mind over matter...and I know that's REALLY challenging. Believe me, I deal with it too.

We are all here to support you. We all need support! Try and eat more proteins...that will help you stay fuller longer. Try and stay away from processed foods, too. Meaning, like instead of Jif peanut butter, buy the natural peanut butter that Publix makes. Little things like that make a big difference. Peanut butter is okay, but not too much. It still has a lot of fat.

Remember...weight loss should not be a change in diet. It should be a change in lifestyle. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

You can do it!
