Sharing Goals

Posted in Group:

I am 32 years old and 350lbs. I am very serious about losing weight. My weight is affecting my health and also my stress levels. I am a very ambitious person and would rather achieve my goals than to have my usual late night sandwich.

I look forward to becoming a part of this online community where we can share and support each other.

Good luck to you! I just joined and I need all the help and support I can get! Another good tip would be to write everything you eat down. Good and bad and keep it in a private place. I can go back and see it and think, "What in the world was I thinking when I ate all that?"

Thanks for the tip Karen, I am writing my meals and snacks down this time around. It is a method that I have known about but never used. Its good to hear that it works for you.

Keeping a food log is really a good idea. Its crazy how fast the calories add up without realizing it.

If you need more support or someone to talk to i am available. I'm looking for a weigh loss buddy too. :)

Hey, I drink decaf. green tea. I have found that caffeine raises my stress levels which is another thing I try to avoid.

Basically I am cutting "white" carbs out of my diet. I replace them with more complex carbs such as black beans and lentils. I have discussed this with my doctor and she told me that this is what most nutritionists are now thinking is the best approach to a healthy lifestyle.

Thanks for the nice comment :)
